Primal Carnage Game Info


Primal Carnage is an online asymmetrical class-based multiplayer computer game developed by independent game studio Lukewarm Media. The game pits a team of Dinosaurs versus a team of Mercenaries, allowing the players to choose to play as either side.

Primal Carnage provides online multiplayer team-based combat, with asymmetrical gameplay between the two teams. The Mercenary team plays as a traditional 1st-person shooter, while the Dinosaurs play from a 3rd-person action perspective. The game employs class-based combat with currently ten (more will come in the future) highly diverse classes with differing styles of gameplay and unique advantages and disadvantages over classes on the opposing team.

Team Deathmatch is currently the only game mode available. However, a new DLC currently being developed will add a second game mode, called "Get To The Chopper".

Dinosaurs have have escaped on an old military controlled island due to an experiment gone wrong. A team of mercenaries have been dispatched to contain the threat.

Although originally developed with the Unigine Engine with support for 64-bit systems and Linux, the developers later switched to the Unreal Engine, making the release of a Linux version unlikely.

Some of the character names have changed over time with the development of the game. Some sources still refer to characters by their old names, which may lead to confusion. The following characters are the ones that have changed: the Heavy is now the Commando, the Native is now the Pathfinder, and the Firestarter is now the Pyromaniac.
